MFSA Crest
The emblem of the Meghalaya Finance Service Association is more than a symbol — it is a tapestry of heritage, service, and pride. It stands as a visual covenant between tradition and professionalism, woven with the threads of our tribal identity, matrilineal values, and institutional ethos.
At its heart lies a shield — Adorned with the red jade and gold bead necklace of the Khasi and Jaintia people and the Rikgitok glass bead strands of the Garo community. These are not mere ornaments — they are emblems of our lineage, unity, and festive dignity.
The shield is also adorned with a golden stalk of rice — A symbol of growth, of prosperity, Of nourishment — both economic and ethical.
Flanking the shield are the Khasi Dewmein earring, Graceful and ancestral and the Jaintia gold discs, Symbols of clarity, wisdom, and ceremonial precision.
Beneath the shield, are golden hands symbolising guardianship of the association cradling an open book — Inscribed with the letters MFSA. This book symbolises our covenant — of adherence to the rule of law, transparency, learning and public trust.
Behind it all, the land speaks. Rolling hills in warm tones, A solitary green tree, And a swirl of white cloud — Together, they evoke the spirit and natural beauty of our state of Meghalaya our ecological richness and spiritual atmosphere.
All of this rests upon a field of golden hue — A background that glows with ceremonial dignity. Gold, in our tribal traditions, is not just a colour — It is a symbol of honour, of matrilineal radiance, of clarity, incorruptibility, and sacred continuity. Its textured warmth evokes handwoven ryndia silk; a canvas that unites every motif with grace and balance.
Anchoring this crest is a ribbon — Bearing the values that guide our service:
  • Prudence, styled with the angular strength of Garo Dakmanda.
  • Integrity, shaped by the geometric grace of Khasi Ryndia.
  • Efficiency, rendered in the rhythmic precision of JaintiaThohSaru.
Each word is not just a principle — It is a tribute to the communities we serve, and the cultures we honour.
Encircling it all is a braided border — Inspired by traditional craftwork of the tribes of Meghalaya.
It symbolises our resilience, interconnectedness, unity and the woven strength of our shared purpose.
This is our home. This is our crest. This is our story. This is our service — rooted in heritage, guided by values, and carried forward with dignity.
